When the Neon was introduced in 1994, Chrysler decided for some fortunate reason to make a splash in SCCA racing and autocross. The Neon ACR was developed as a race-ready (just add rollcage), low cost machine, using as few special parts as possible. So that the first production run would wind up on the track, not the street, buyers were required to hold an SCCA membership. This original '1994-1/2' batch consisted of 182 SOHC-powered ACR sedans. Chrysler also sweetened the pot with substantial contingency money for ACR racers.

sounds like you got a nice race car

the acr comes with koni adjustable suspension and mopar high rate springs. pretty stiff for autocross and it is a damn good combo. plus like b said we are lookin for grassroots style we dont wanna put any more money into this car than we have to. and yes clayton i am so tryin the roll on paint thing with this car, whats the worst that could happen it sucks ass and then we have to spray it :p

You should paint it in chalkboard paint.

That way, it's easier for 3 guys to share a car with different numbers.

you could heat the springs or cut them to give them a higher spring rate, but then the shocks wouldn't be stiff enough, and you be bouncing over bumps..... cool low budget racer tho

ok well first off there will be no heating or cutting springs, we are not in high school with no money we just said we wanted to keep it low budget. that is by far one of the worst things that you could ever do to a suspension on a car.
