Alright, ive got all my stuff but i read on an article off someones website that some cx model blocks might have the wrong amount of valve reliefs on the pistons, is this true and if so, my cx is a 93 model year and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this

if your pistons didn't have valve reliefs for each valve, your car wouldn't be running right now

the cx motor is an 8-valve, and thus doesn't have the reliefs in the pistons as 16 valves do.

personally, i'd upgrade the pistons anyway- get some damn compression in there.

You could run the PM7 pistons from a DOHC ZC, run the 2 layer head gasket, mill the head 50 thousandths of an inch and end up with 11.87:1 compression under a Z6 head, or 12.47:1 under a Y8 head.

Just an example.
