S4200384.jpg:D work in progress for 88 civic DX for my 15 year old son he is geting his hands dirty also. Almost ready to install, 89 si d16a6+ 94 lx d16z6 new bearings pistons and a lot of wires to sifer used the 94 distributer attatched new plug to make work and all the mpfi stuf ready to go using a PO3 to make it all work

Post more pictures and info as you get further along in the swap. What parts are you using in the engine? All stock except for the head swap?
 
yes all stock inside it's for a soon to be 16 year old boy this and a 5 speed will be enoughf, I have a centra se-r spec v to get to work

this is the car we are working on 1988 DX he has all trim out re dyed all black new seats looking for carpet and will do rear inside with pollished alluminum dimond plate blue led lights under dash, shifter knob and boot have blue neon rope inbeded, peddals are blue led, no back seats and this is the boy paying for it all my youngest son, 15 soon to be 16 he wants it gunmetal with black 17" rims with a crome ring around bead edge

not sure about the neons and such.. but, its not my car.. :thumbsup: looks good so far.. i wouldnt go bigger than 15s on an EF
 
Tell him that he'll handle better on the 15s, go faster, and be able to get better (stickier) tires for much less cash. That way you can still appeal to his "go fast" mentality without really giving him serious increases in speed, but still save some cash and repairs down the road.
 
speaking with experience, 17 inch wheels on an EF is a tight fit. i had em for a while on mine and they rubbed pretty bad when turning. and yes i had the correct offset and everything. id go with a 16 inch wheel to be on the safe side...
