My little problems are getting worse :(

Got up 9 minutes before I was supposed to be at work, so I booked it to get ready, and I fired up the Civic. HX D16Y5. I got onto the main road and started kicking some ass, and it seemed like every time it got over 3-3500 RPM it started spitting and missing and running like shit. Now it was really cold this morning, and I just got back to my car and started it up and it ran fine all the way up to 5500~6000. I didn't take it any higher. It sat for 9 hours. Still has a little breakup at low RPM. I'm going to pull the plugs tonight and check for cracks or oddities. Anyone have any idea what else could be causing this? I was thinking my timing was off, I'm going to be changing my belt. I'll check it then. But it doesn't seem like timing since it runs better when its warm outside. Perhaps a problem with the distributor also? I'm not too sure what to check for with that.
