now for those who dont know how to install these, here is a quickie.

loosen tire lugnuts a bit, jack up car, and remove tire. open hood, and loosen three triangular 14mm strut top nuts.

go to the strut shaft and loosen/remove the two 17mm nuts/bolts that hold the strut to the knuckle. if your strut has the option, also remove the C clip holding the brake line to the strut using a screwdriver. fully loosen strut top 14mm bolts.

reinstallation is the reverse of removal.

i start by putting the strut in place and nearly fully tightening the 14mm top bolts. then i use a jack and raise the knuckle up to meet the shock, and secure the 17mm nuts and bolts. after that i would install the C clip for the brake line, and put the wheel back on and lower the car. tighten the top 14mm nuts. tighten the wheel. done.

cost? $900 for the front and rear set. $1500 MSRP new. they have ~6K miles on them.

36-way adjustable. adjust through an easy to turn, clicking knob on top of each strut/shock. the fit and finish of these babies is so much nicer than the TOSERs.

Sounds like you got a pretty sweet deal. Just curious, but how often do you find yourself adjusting them? Do you use it mainly for when you track it or autoX it?

80 mile round trip per day to/from work, usually a few hundred on the weekends.

and for its 3rd year in a row it will be a bi-weekly track whore

3k miles has probably been the minimum I put on my cars in a month in the past 3 years.

You can always tell someone who drives by the way they talk about their car. Owners are funny people to listen to.

I think I've put about 35k miles on this car since I bought it back in May. But damn dude. 5k a month? That's quite a bit of driving. I used to put about 2k/week when I had a job that entailed driving all over hell and creation all day. That was actually pretty fun for the first month or so.

4 to 5 hours a day in the car driving is nothing to sneeze at though.

    Nice suspension.

36 way adjustable too... Who the hell needs that ? That's like Sigma 12 precision tuning. Pressure variances in the ambient air make that kind of difference on a strut.

i dont get 36 way adjustable either 8 or 12 or 16, but yes 32 is extreme.

It may be a while before I can stand and deliver to an autocross. What may be interesting is if you and I can borrow Clayton's Gazelle . Gives us a chance to start on a blank slate and see who adapts first.
