so here is the completed crossmember. merrill subbed out the poly mounts for solid ones by late request. it was not a big deal since he was able to sell the one he was making with poly mounts.
over the weekend we ripped the transmission back out to re-re-replace the rear seal. still leaking oil not really sure what to do at this point. maybe bring it to DSG and spend the $1k for them to rip and replace it, put my LSD in the trans, lighten/resurface the flywheel and new clutch.
so... six months and two cars later i dug her out of the bushes.
yes, there is an engine in there! my replacement bottom end.
going to put a few hours in each week to get it running again. i've had a replacement bottom end for months.... just no drive or time. i've parted out alot of the rare stuff on the car to fund the corolla and now the veloster - but the suspension goodies are still there
