i was just looking at an old b16 intake mani i have and i was thinking of ways i could make it work with my b18b head. now the bolts all line up except for one, but the problem is going to be getting the coolant passages to match up.

what i was thinking is maybe i could cut half way through the gastket with the b16 coolant passage on one side, and half way through the other side in the shape of the b18b coolant passages.

i know this is confusing...

just getting opinions. thanks for any feedback.
 
i'd think it would be easier and, ultimately, safer to just get a gasket for a b18.

there's a reason you don't hear about a lot of people doin that.
 
lol...i'd still think it'd be safer just to use a b18 gasket.
 
i guess the only other option would be to have the coolant passage in the head blocked, but i don't know if there are consequences for doing that.
