I rarely post since I can usually find my answers. But I'm in a little bit of a pickle and I just want to know if it is possible to test the two white wires with a multimeter to differentiate. If so what's the process/ readings I should get? I am wiring an obd1 (td-44u) distributor into a crx. I can figure the rest out. Plugs are cut already so please don't even mention a conversion harness. Thanks.

Yes thats what I hear. But I'm not trying to Measure them with a micrometer. They're virtually indistinguishable to me. So how about a surefire test?

go to ECU pins B15 or B17 (they connect together inside the harness) and check for continuity between the ECU and the other end of each of the white wires - the one with continuity is the wire for the igniter - as a double check, the other white wire should have continuity between the distributor end and ECU pin B12
