MILWAUKEE -- An explosion rocked an industrial valley near downtown Milwaukee Wednesday morning, igniting a massive fire at a warehouse and injuring about 30 people.Aerial video shows flames in the shell of a building about two blocks long at the Falk Corporation and firefighters pouring water on the fire. The explosion shortly after 8 a.m., could be felt blocks away. Fire Lt. Brian O'Connor said it blew out windows at other Falk buildings and flipped and destroyed cars near the scene. He said he could feel the explosion from the fire station about one and a half miles away. The fire in the industrial Menomonee Valley is about a half-mile from Miller Park and a half-mile from the Potawatomi casino. Fire officials said they don't yet have any idea what touched off the explosion. Some construction crews working on buildings in the area were being sent home by their companies. Construction worker Jack Obarski of Milwaukee says he heard a loud boom and saw smoke billowing hundreds of feet in the air.
