Morning Explosion Rocks Milwaukee - News - NBC5.com | WMAQ
MILWAUKEE -- An explosion rocked an industrial valley near downtown Milwaukee Wednesday morning, igniting a massive fire at a warehouse and injuring about 30 people.Aerial video shows flames in the shell of a building about two blocks long at the Falk Corporation and firefighters pouring water on the fire. The explosion shortly after 8 a.m., could be felt blocks away. Fire Lt. Brian O'Connor said it blew out windows at other Falk buildings and flipped and destroyed cars near the scene. He said he could feel the explosion from the fire station about one and a half miles away. The fire in the industrial Menomonee Valley is about a half-mile from Miller Park and a half-mile from the Potawatomi casino. Fire officials said they don't yet have any idea what touched off the explosion. Some construction crews working on buildings in the area were being sent home by their companies. Construction worker Jack Obarski of Milwaukee says he heard a loud boom and saw smoke billowing hundreds of feet in the air. The Falk Coporation is headquartered in Milwaukee and manufactures power transmission equipment.

did you hear about that thing in Massachussetts 2 weeks ago ? Only Mass news seemed to carry anything on it.

CT news didn't even report it.

your opinion doesnt count since there are more people in rhode island than vermont :)

Rhode Island got out while the getting was good. Although with Patches Kennedy there, it may as well be Assachussetts.

RI should face the truth and become part of CT.

The Danversport explosion was ridiculous. My uncle lives in Marblehead and said both his cars' alarms went off. He was 7 miles away.

Had the same thing happen near us in a town called Apex, just outside of Raleigh, NC. Some chemical plant blew up, had to shut down the entire town.
