i ve seen a few different writeups on the mpfi conv
all that i have seen show the same thing for the inj wiring
but almost all of them show different things for the dizzy wiring
who knows which one is right? (if any at all)

im going to take pictures and video when i do this and write up a detailed and easy to follow set of directions on how to do this as there seems to be many variations on the dizzy wiring

Are you doing an engine swap? I did a zc swap and didn't have to change around any wiring on the distributer.

im putting in an ls
i thought the dizzy wiring had to be changed when going from dpfi to mpfi no matter what

the only thing the distributor needs is to run two wires for the crank angle sensor. a duel point injection doesn't need this sensor. a multi port system needs this sensor to tell the ecu when the engine is at top dead center.... inturn that tells the computer when to fire the injectors. it's a sequental system. meaning each clyinder fires at a specific time... on the ecu... the crank sensor wires are from b10 and b12.. they go to the crank sensor. if they are wired backwards it will severly retard the timing. hope this helps
