I have a go-ped, kinda similar.

I ran it with 50:50 gasoline:nitrogas (hobby engine gasoline) and nitrous oxide for a tank... It was so scary I drained it and put gasoline back into it.

can you weld? If so, then you shouldn't pay 2k for that kit. Just troll craigslist for a weed-whacker motor, and auto parts stores for pulleys and belts and misc parts.
