Cops don't crush because they assume anything. Cops will run the vin and you will get in some shot of the Von on the engine comes back stolen. Washington has less emissions laws. Cali is about the only state of have heard of that checks for emissions legal parts.
Get a bill of sale with the engines VIN on it. Problem solved.
But, WA only looks at the VIN in the window when you do your emissions test. And the visual inspections are a joke. My car had the secondary air and EGR systems completely removed with some block off plates in place, and I still passed the visual. They didnt even check to see if I had CATS under my car.
