Microsoft gets RRoD at GDC - Engadget
Now that's embarassing...
that makes my day after BG went on the record saying "Microsoft tools are more powerful than open source [technology]"
And they didn't have a back up unit? Someone sucks at doing marketing events.
Good stuff! My 360 red ringed and I actually had a really easy time getting it exchanged. I guess experience goes a long ways.
Yea my Xbox failed too, but only took about 2 weeks to replace. The failure rate still sucks though, luckily I don't play much.
Mine failed once, I just went and bought a new one and took my old one back in the new ones box.
You're lucky they didn't check the SN
I'm on my 5th 360 and I don't play all that often.
walmart never checks SN.
Try again, I bought one from walmart to use while my other 360 was being repaired, it died 2 weeks later, I returned it and they checked the SN and write it down on a sheet, I then got another 360 to replace the broke 360 I was using to replace my other broke 360 and when I returned that one, they did the same thing.
Maybe its an area thing, around here they check them.
hey guys that live wear they check the serial numbers change the plastic case and take it back i know its more work but o well
