My buddy bought a Nissan

My buddy just bought a 200sx all stock. I was researching Nissan stuff and i couldn't find any good forums like our own Hondaswap. He is thinking future sr20det, i know a little about them and his stock motor but today my ignorance came through when i found that his stock motor had Nvsc or whatever Nissan's variable timing is called. A good Nissan thread would be appreciated, thanks alot.

Yeah, its a 97 se. All stock ga18de, I'm trying to get info on the capabilities of this motor(not much from what i hear) and info on swapping it. Also looking to see rear disc break conversion.

The GA16 (Not GA18) is a poor powerplant... But converting to an SR is not exactly easy to do.

I agree but this is the hand we were dealt, same as Honda civics should have all come with b16s at the least.

well i have a stock 1985 200sx turbo, back in those days over seas they came with a fjo20det that will kill anything, also over in japan they came with a ca18det thats whats going in mine
