So I finally got my block back from the machine shop, and it looks damn good. I guess it was worth the wait, for the price I got I could not have done much better. So here are some pics of what I got back today:

Now I need to get my hands on some gaskets and some bearings. Next week my helms manual should be here so I can then order my bearings... I am stoked. B)

nice, what exactly did you have done it it?

Oops, forgot that, I had the block, honed, decked to remove a scratch, and hot-tanked. Then I had my new pistons pressed onto the rods. All that for 150 bucks because the guy gave me a low price quote. Lesson learned here always ask for a copy of the price quote when you are dealing with this, because the guy tried to go back on the price with me and i had to argue my ass off, to keep it at this price.

That block looks bad ass.

:worthy:

This is as far as I got with the 1.8 for my Escort:

What are you plans for your B16??

for the moment I am assembling a stock b16. Because of smog reasons, once I pass the tests and get my bar sticker I am pulling the PR3 pistons, and getting CTR pistons. I am sticking to a stock bore b16, because I really only want 1.6l all motor. As far as the head, I will see what to do about that I am not sure and I have not gotten that far yet, right now I just want to assemble the block.

according to c-speedracing, even with a .25mm overbore you would still only be 1597cc (1.597 Liters).

It's oxidation. Spray some water on your brake rotors and don't drive it for a day. They'll start to look rusted too.

Oh and BTW, way to bring a thread back from the dead.

wholly shit you're right...

I saw the link in his sig and didn't think nothing of it. maybe now he can give us an update.

new pics please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and update

Shit I should post up the new pics. I need to get all my parts in one place, and I will post pics. Here is what I have so far:
Block has been changed once again to a b16a3 block (for smog reasons)
P30 pistons
I have ported my head and just need to order one last cross buff and flap wheel set, so that I can finish up two exaust ports.
I will be running OEM gaskets
ARP head studs
OBD1 conversion harness
I need to buy valve springs, but at the moment I am running stock cams with plans to go to Buddy Club spec 3+ cams.
I purchased a CTR tranny mid 2004
I also bought the HASport Cable to hydro coversion kit for the EF
I still need axels, and I need to replace my VTEC solinoid, and find a USDM P30, I am broke as phuck right now due to the fact I am rebuilding two of my dads old motorcycles, and the holidays. I figure at the end of Febuary when I recover financially, I will get back to finally assembling and swaping this motor.
There is more I am sure, but I cannot think of it right now.
