use use my credit card for pretty much everything. i use cash for shit around town, food, beer, etc... but i always use my card for gas, everythign online, stores, groceries, all credit. i dunno... i don't have a credit problem though. i just prefer to get a bill and have a "recipt" of what i did that month, instead of just blowing cash that you can't account for unless your an anal fuck.

I have 10k limit on my chase card, 8% fixed, 4th year with them
i have 3500 limit on my discover card, 12% fixed, 5th year with them
i have 1000 on my express/structure card way too fucking high %, like 22?? i dont know.. i always pay off in full...

chase balance: 1800
dc blanace: 0
structure: 0

the chase card pretty much always has a G on it, but i pay a G on it every month... like i said- its my spending money for the month...

i come close to paying it off every month... but i buy shit on it all the time.

im rambling...

but i did a credit report on here a while back and posted it... my credit is pretty damn good, considering i've never had a car loan or anything else in my life. cash owns for large purchases :)

you guys finace cars and cut up your cards...
i pay cash for cash and charge everythign else. lol

I'm fucking in debt up to my ears... it was over my head, but I've paid down nearly 10k in debt over the last year.

GTE Visa - 8k limit - 10% rate - max'ed out, pay minimum so I can pay smaller things off
Chase Visa - 2k limit - 18% rate - paid off last month :)
Household MC - 1200 limit - 19% rate - paid off monthly, this is my mad money card
Radio Shack Card - 1250 limit - 24% rate!!! - Fun with electronics, I use the 6 month same as case for some purchases, but I mostly use it when I NEED cash, it has an ATM limit of $400 built in, but it charges out the ass to use that
American General Finance Personal Loan - 3k limit - 22% rate - It's a renewable loan that I'm within $400 of paying off, finally. I originally purchased my Civic with this loan, so that tells you how many times I've renewed the loan! Damn easy to get at money kills me. :(
Household FInancial Center personal loan - 10,500 limit - 24% rate - I currently owe 8500 against this loan. I have a checkbook against this loan, and I've been using it as mad money WAY too often. I called, and they cannot stop me from using the account without closing the account, so I have to learn to restrain myself.

I send out about $1200 is DEBT payments a month. With rent, insurance, food, etc, I'm not putting SHIT away for savings, emergencies, etc, and I hate it. In the next 6 months, I want to get everything except the Household loan paid off. I think I'm well on my way to debt recovery. Besides the fact that my income to debt ration is FUBAR, my credit is IMMACULATE. I'm almost never late on payments, and I overpay everything to get it paid off faster. 2 years ago, I had a credit score pulled while I was missing payments, and even further in debt, and it was a 650. I'm probably pushing 750-800 now. ;)

Well, for the past 4 years, my credit has been F**KED. My buddies said "Get a credit card... Its great... you can just keep on paying $50 a month on it..." <_<

I Believed them, ran up a shitload of debt, and lost my job...

My credit card went to collections, along with those bills... I have spent the past 3 years trying to pay everything off, so I can begin to rebuild my credit...

Also, I travel for work... I have a revolving cash advance that my company gave me... I use that money, then fill out an expense report and get reimbursed... Well, now I need more money than what I have... So I am told to apply for a corporate American Express Card... Now, I tried to get a GAS CARD 3 months ago and was denied.

My accounting department informed me, that if I get denied for the card on my credit, that they will write a guarantee, saying that if I dont pay, my company will...

running up a debt and not paying on it is your own damn fault. You can't blame your buddies for that shit.

Then I moved out of my house, some of the bills were in my name. I gave my room mate my share of the bills owed, and told him to go turn them off... He never did...

I'd slap him with a lawsuit on that shit.

Anyways, back to the point... AMEX approved me! ME! I'll have my American Express Corporate card tomorrow... This is great, because Amex cards are HARD to get, and will help my credit SKYROCKET. Not to mention the fact that i'll be charging a couple thousand a month on average, and it will be getting paid off each month... And not to mention Membership rewards!!!!!!! :)

Sorry, just had to gloat. :p B)

Good for you... I hope you get back on your feet. Just dont run up a huge ass bill and get into debt again.

Jesus people, your credit sucks, I am 19, have 4 Credit cards, owe like 300 between all 4, have enough crdit line for a down payment on a house, and can get approved for a 20,000 dollar car. It's amzing what heppens when you pay your bills on time.

you also live at home, dont have a 20,000 car, and dont have a house....

things change...

I am in the process of moving out, dont need a 20,000 dollar car or my own house at this point in time, I'm saying that all you need to do is be responsible. This guy is having his company dig him out of the shithole he dug.

i agree with you... but still.

hes my age... has a 00 si, boosted, a g/f $$$$ lol and got into a lot of debt when he was younger.

hell, one of my buddy's is debt about 20 grand... and i doubt he will ever get out of it for the rest of his life.

Oh I know it was my fault, but if i was more responsible, I wouldn't have just started blowing money on it... I ran up a couple K, and then looked back and said "WTF!?!? Where did it all go? What do i have to show for it?"

I'd slap him with a lawsuit on that shit.

It was for about $400 total in bills... I didnt even know they weren't paid until they got to collection agencies... And others never even called me, and I didn't know I owed them money until i ran my credit report. Besides... I'd never get any money out of him.. . <_<

Good for you... I hope you get back on your feet. Just dont run up a huge ass bill and get into debt again.

I have paid for EVERYTHING with cash for the past few years now, and will continue for a while. This card is for business expenses only until my credit gets straightened out, and I get my next raise... ;)

I've had a line of ok credit. It was never good enough until this september to get a loan large enough for a car.

First thing I did was I got a cell phone, paid that off every month. Then I took out a 1000 loan when I got my escort to do misc things to it like change the fluids, new brakes, etc.

After that I got a new cell phone, I was solicited for two credit cards a Visa and an MC and got both of them. Then I got a checking account, and then another one at a different bank with an ATM card (which has gotten me in more trouble than my credit cards) and lastly I got a 15.5k loan for my Civic.

If you pay at least your minimum every month your credit will stay in good standing.

true, but if you have what is said to say more than 50% of your credit limit as a balance and you continue to just pay the "minimum" then your credit rating will not be as good as say someone that still has over 50% balance, but pays double the minimum.

Paying minimum will take 30+ years to pay off a 3000 balance...just some credit knowledge for you to ponder...

very true. and I understand that. I recently just had the first cards limit upped from 200 to 1000... if that's not a sign that I've managed my credit I dont know what is. :p

Unfortunately... especially since I'm inbetween jobs at the moment.......I've put over 560 on the first card though in about three weeks. I went and got a radar detector and a warrenty. (thats before I quit working for my dad though)

Next thing I knew I was buying Bobby's plane ticket up here which was another 280... Bobby needs to wake his ass up and go get a job to start payin me back for it.

Dont worry I have a job interview at 1 pm today at a place that pays what I was making after two weeks in just one week at my dads office. I hope I get this job. it sounds easy enough sittin in a warehouse all day, etc. :worthy:

I have good credit. I overpay on my truck loans, I actually got one month ahead in my payments. I pay my creditcard off in full each month, and when cingualr actually sends me my bill it gets paid on time. All of my student loans were paid off early, prolly 15k worth. I had no problem getting car loans when I was going to get a second truck. I am having no problem getting my loan for my truck under a 4.5% interest rate. Credit cards are soemwhat good but mainly evil. Try not to put stuff on your credit cards and have people give you cash for it. I don't know about you but when I do that I never put that cash away to pay my bill with, it just becomes spent on stupid shit. Its all about being responsible.

minumum payments are a joke. i had at one point about 7800 on my card (bought my motor and had a whole bunch of other shit on t at that given month... most of which was paid off) my minumum paymen twas $38. thirty eight fucking dollars.

youd have to be a fucking :tardcart: to think you could ever pay it off that way

my minimum payments are about $38 and like $32 of it is for interest, that is $6 on principle? lmao. i send at least $200 a month. i do love the 1 year of %0 on balance transfers for credit card companies though. transfer your balance on a card that has interest to one that doesnt, close the old account. get 0% all the time :)
