Been a while. Since then I've been through 3 motors in my CRX so the 4 door got my old Mini-Me. It ran strong in my CRX but couldn't get it to run right in this car. My dad bought a low mileage complete Z6 swap with a virgin P28 from a wrecked EG for $350.
New-er dizzy and new OBD1 conversion harness in the parts box.
As soon as we started tearing apart the old motor I found out I messed up on the MPFI conversion, I wired the injectors in the complete opposite order.
Oh well, new motor anyway.
The D16Y7 build got ditched. So we've ended up with a bunch of D-series parts:
-Fresh Y7 block w/good A6 crank. Only missing oil pump.
-Good Y7 head, may have starved from oil
-Good A6 motor. Said to have been rebuild but burns little bit of oil
-Good Z6 head with all accessories
-Y8 intake mani
-Another good A6 motor with high miles that don't show
-Good D15B7 that burnt a valve
-2-3 Si trannys
I should try a turbo build.
I just have to do a little bit of wiring then the 4 door should be going soon.
