The "Good" looking pictures are of what it looked like about 10 years ago. He got it from a friend a couple months ago and he is trying to fix it to look nice. From what we are told it is a race engine and trans. The guy used to compete in SCCA races. The top was chopped and the windshield was cut down 4 inches.

Here are some updated pictures of the work he's been doing. There is a video I'm uploading now. I'll post it when it's done.

We know the motor isn't stock it was built for SCCA racing but we haven't taken it to a dyno. The cam sounds nice though. We are having some trouble with the car stalling we think it's rust in the tank. The car sat for six years. We put some glass filters in the line and they keep filling up with rust. There's not as much rust in them now. We're gonna try dropping the tank, cleaning it out and sealing it. Other than that it runs great. It's very quick and it corners nice.

Whoah, missed this one.

Can I have the deluxe gauges? :)

Sorry but no. I think the tach is messed up though like it will be fine driving normal, but when you floor it at about 4 grand the needle goes crazy and waves to you.

man that would just be pimp as fuck to cruise down the strip in that besides racing it

I'm gonna work on it some today, maybe get a ride along video around some twisty turns. Drift style.

I love this thing. Honda should have made it with the lowered roof line.

I thought I'd update a little. We dropped the gas tank and I flushed it out for like 2 hours to get all of the rust out. There were a lot of little sand sized specs of rust and then some dime sized peices and everything in between. Hopefully it did the trick. We found out that the fuel level sending unit is bad and I can't seem to be able to find a new or a used one. I put everything back together and filtered the fuel really good before I put it back in the tank. There was about a cup worth of rust/water that got siphoned out of the tank when I was dropping it. Everything is good now. We haven't been able to take it out yet, but when we do I'll take some video. Hopefully it runs fine now.

that is fantasticaly cool!

I've wanted a 73 cvcc for a while now cuz i was born in 73, cant find one if I do i definately want a set of those fenders

Check the wiring from the tachometer back to the engine bay, you should track your problem.

Actually I just got home from my dad's place and we were driving it around. I think the stalling problem is fixed. It drove great. There are still some wiring issues but my dad doesn't want me to do it. Other than that he hasn't worked on it much he's too busy.

Well, still keep us up to date. I'm now convinced I'm making my own wiring from now on.

After trying to get this f*cking Neon RT running with it's wiring, I'm ready to take hostages. But I learned enough to make the wiring for my CRX the next time around.

My dad's friend came by with a cd of more pics of what the car looked like before.
