my engine is hitting on somethin internal........?

i found out the engine is not froze in my 95 civic 1.5L. i got it loose from the crank but now it is hitting a rod or somethin. it goes a lil pass the cmpression and then it hits. i cannot tell if it's from the head or the block. where should i go from here.......? i am not to good at mechanics yet but the best way to learn is just do it right......

you feel it hit something in side? pop the plugs out and take the oil pan off then you can see.

Has the engine been rebuilt? Or is it stock?
