I've come up w/ a performance goal for my car, and a price range to work with. 1. 220 whp/2200lbs 2. better handling/ 3. low 14 1/4 mile/ 4. beat v6 mustangs and riced teg gsr's w i/h/e car keeps power steering, a/c interior must appear stock, ie: carpet, door panels ect. what I intend to do to reach this goal: suspension: tein ss coilovers: $800-$1050 sway bars: make sugestion i'm lost black rota slipstreams: $450-$500 tires: make sugestion I'm lost engine: gsr swap: $3000-$3500 (I hope to do all of the work myself) plus another $2000-$2500 into motor for various goodies to bring it close to 220hp bling: racing seats: $$$who fuckin knows$$$ paint: 20+ cans of rusto flat black: $60+ cf hood: FREE!!! (I traded it for a couch!!!) total budget: $8000-$9000 cost of vehicle: $2000 ('93 del sol) let's just say i got a REALLY good deal so i'm hoping for around $10-11.5k total I can build a RELIABLE and somewhat unique 2 seat roadster that will out-perform most vehicles purchased stock for equal value I've made myself dizzy looking at reviews and tech articles. this is my plan and I'm sticking to it. first thing to check off on the shoping list: tein coilovers in the mail. hope to put them on this weekend.
