That I'm shaking hands with...
no, that would be too easy.
wait, i got it. babe ruth?
WinnAr. Met him in Cooperstown over the weekend. We were up there for Cal Ripken's & Tony Gwynn's HOF Induction.
Great weekend - check out more pics if you want:
Hall of Fame 2007
Sweet, looks like he was in a good mood, Did he come off as an asshole?
Not at all, we all bs'd with him for a good 10-15 minutes...pretty cool guy. We were going to ask for an early line on the SuperBowl but thought that might have been a little harsh. haha
did you ask him to sign your hall of fame brochure?
that was my guess also
No, $65 bucks would have made him sign it though...
i knew it was ol' charlie hustle. i was being dumb.
amazing player, amazing man. got fucked pretty bad for gambling. thats something stupid to do though.
There are little postings on the walls in the HOF reminding people of the major rules of baseball; including not betting on baseball. Also, there is only one mention of Pete Rose's 4256 hits in the hall and thats in the All-Time room where all the major stat's are located.
His Jersey and memorabilia does not mention his accomplishments in the least. He's a pretty cool guy, cocky, but I think most professional athletes are in some fashion.
all i know is that he's making a killing off his signature.
in hoping to catch the coin show the other night, they had a sports colelctibles show on instead.... and pete rose was doing a siging...
Pete Rose Autographed 11" x 14" Sports Illustrated Cover Photograph - photos at Shop At Home
crazy prices for that shit
wow...thats pretty cool...w00t!
he's probably making more off of autographs and interviews now than if he actually was in the hall of fame.
The jerseys behind him gave it away, but... yes. Awesome. At least he didn't do what Tommy Lasorda did.
