Leave the window rolled down about half way?

Serious, your latch probably disconnected somehow. Someone probably tried to break into it.

It's one of two things, Rogues and Muranos have tons of problems with both of them. Either it's the door latch staying locked, or the ball on the end of the cable that actuates the latch fell out of its catch.

If it's an 08 and has less than 36,000 miles on it, it's covered under basic warranty though - so don't fuck with it, take it to a dealer. If it's been messed with (i.e. if you try to fix it yourself), they'll probably claim that it's not goin to be covered under warranty because it's been tampered with.

Try to manually unlock it, with the lever - not with one of the unlock buttons.

edit: also, sent you a PM. give me a call and I can walk you through pulling the door handle and such apart to try and get it open.

Really you think someone may have tried to break in?

If someone tried to break in, you'd see damage somewhere - either to the window molding/trim on the bottom of the driver side window, or on the lock cylinder on the door.

Either way, best bet is to leave it alone and take it to a dealer. I would tell them at the same time that your passenger door from time to time won't unlock with the remote - they'll more than likely go ahead and replace it as well.

Either that or if the car was frozen someone yanked the shit out of the handle. I have seen both cause similar cases on cars.

Empty out valuables in case someone comes back. Can't be too safe.

I wasn't saying that I think someone may have tried to break in; I was just saying that if you start taking shit apart yourself and playing 'mister fixit', you might end up voiding your warranty.

When my doors would get stuck it was usually due to the weather. Boiling water over the cylinder always fixed it.

Tell ur girl to stop slamming her car doors lol.

Nissan is the Ford of Japan. Her handle doesn't work because the whole fucking thing is broken. It's broken because it's a piece of shit.

Wait until she leaves the window open, the ECU fries and it won't start, good times... Good times :)

I know I'm not the slightest bit productive - but hey, what can I say ?

    I'm Celerity.

and I used to work for Nissan.

I didn't work there because they DIDN'T break...noone wants a 'Maytag repairman' job.
