she took the car, let her sister get fucked by some guy in the back seat and leave love stains, then burned it to the ground to collect insurance money.

i hope this helps you feel better.

next time don't be a tightass, be an adult and pay for your shit.

The car is in her name. Whether you paid for it or not, the car is legally hers. Good luck getting it back...

Do you have any physical proof that you paid for the car? A receipt, a credit card statement, a check? If so, you may have a chance in small claims court to get the money back. And you might be able to get her to admit that it's your car in front of the judge. If you paid cash and there's no paper trail then these guys are right. You fucked up.

i put my title in mine and my girls name, so i could put the tags in both our names, and the insurance in hers, but also she has allstate so anyone that she lets drive is covered. so im still insured. but with the title being in both our names i dont think she could really snatch it from me...but as for you, your screwed

Start banging the sister that stole it. Or better yet, do their mom. See how that goes for you.

wtf were u thinking!!!never ever put a car in ur gfs name...insurance has nothing to do with who owns the car...well it does if ur only insuring one vehicle...on a pinkslip it has option for 2 vehicle owners...what was going through ur head man...you righteously boned urself...move on and buy another car and let her see you one day and show her what up...or like the guy above said go bone her mom or her sister just for the satisfaction...haha

I think that depends on the carrier. I've never had that problem(I had two cars under my name under my mom's policy), while a neighbor said the ins company specifically told them the title had to be under the policy holder's name.

Uh, yes, actually it does. He put the car in her name and had her insure it because it was cheaper (she was probably older, better driving record, whatever). He was giving her money to pay the insurance and then driving the car himself (hence how he owed her money for insurance). Think and read carefully before you post please...

Even if he does have a bill of sale from when he bought it, there would need to be a bill of sale for when he transferred it into the sister's name, so the car is effectively no longer his. Paper trails work both ways.

Long term > short term, for next time. ;)
