I got a P90x workout on my computer from my buddy. He put it on my ipod and I d-loaded it to my computer.

I have copied the video to a DVD cd and it's still in whatever format it was sooo
I put it back in my new toshiba laptop (windows 7) and burned it to WMP format.

Then i burned a copy and tried to paly it on my DVD player and no luck......

what do i need to do to get it to play? Where can i d-load DViX or something to get my player to read it?

You're doing it wrong. Title needs to read "I need to make a Video CD, its Mrs taco porn".. Then you'll get eleventy billion replies and more help than you know what to do with...

I think its about the format....?? I will ask my lady when she gets home. She knows way more then I do on this subject.

Did you try a few different CD players?

I'm gonna put it in my dvd player in the car and see if my home dvd player just wont reads the format.

I figured everyone reads WM format...

My girl says go to a download site (torrent???) and find another burning program that is compatible or re-formats to what is needed on your DVD player. She says WMP isn't that media friendly (or as much as people think) when taking it to another DVD source. Divx can be found at a torrent site too. Or piratebay

This is all from my lady lol. But I do know that Windows Media has irritated me a ton too

she got a good link i can use? the lest time i downloaded something it was a total waste and ended up just wiping it off my pc.

I use a free program called DVDFlick, it transcodes and burns most filetypes to discs that can be read by players.

I'll give that a try first.

google searching on progress.......................

how long does this thing take? I've been waiting for 2 hours and still only on 2 of 14 on decoding the videos......

You must have a slow CPU. I just re-coded 3 DVDs in about 10 minutes. :D

transcoding the video and audio is what takes so long, but it's required for it to work in standard players. and yes it depends heavily on your cpu speed.

it took 7hours and 48 minutes....

I did the whole P90X workouts which were about 14 cd's

now i need to see about getting them in a cd when i get home....

ok. for taking video files and burning them to disc, use DVD flick.

if you want to rip dvds you need something else.
