need help with h22a

[hondaaccord94]

i have dropped a h22a motor in my 94 honda accord.when we installed the ecu there were four plugs in it we only had three wire harnesses to connect we connected the three to the ecu and there is another plug but i dont have the wire harness for that one i think its the vtec but im not sure because my old motor was a non v-tec so any suggestions please help.

Definitely not VTEC. Most likely it's an auto ECU. tab, can you help out at all here?

whats the code on the side of the ecu say?

the ATTS system or whatever it was called...

Actually, it was probably the 4WS. ATTS didn't show up until 97. Although I guess it's possible that he got a newer ECU that controlled the ATTS.

My advice would be, plug in the three plugs that fit. If you don't throw any codes, and the car isn't running poorly, don't worry about the 4th plug.

If your check engine light is on, you're throwing a code.

There's an article in our reference/articles section about how to pull codes.
