need help....

trying to find out what is wrong with my trans...it doesnt want to go in fourth..but the rest of the gears work...wat would be the problem????...PLZ help...thanx..

your fourth gear is shot.

does it grind? or just won't go in...Auto or stick?

if its manual...weird for fouth to go out but second and thrid are ok. I've had second and third go out of a few trans (syncros) but fourth seems weird. i used to put redline fluid in the bad trans and it would help....a little.

If it auto...ouch...expensive.

You can take it out and tear into it with a helm manual to see what fourth is looking like (but its a little out of my league and I'm not sure of your abilities)

But I would just save up for a trans from the local recyler and call it good.
