i have a 1989 prelude2.0s automatic and when im going down the road my car will bog down until it finnaly cuts off....whike it is bogging if i put the pedal to the floor i will shoot high rpm's but wont increase speed and idea on how to solve this...i have already put a new air filter and fuel filter i dont know what to do
 
lil more info, does it idle ok? is it only when the car is in a "pull" or all the time? and last question- when it bogs down and dies when u try to restart it, does it start ok?
 
Sounds like you mite have a tq converter on its way out the door... if the car runs fine in N or P i would place my money on the TQ converter. Look it up, they tend to go out... a prime example is... 1st gear you can do 35 at 6,500rpm's but now your pushing 6,500rpms and only going 19mph... lol
