i have the ability to buy a 94 del sol for 400 bucks the body and interior is in good shape it has a 1.5 totaly
stock with a blown head gasket and a 196000 miles so a engine rebuld is a must so my question is what will take to get a 1.5 to run mid 13 i will also think about a motor swap but to pass nc state inspection it has to have a motor that the car was offerd with from the factory

So get a b16 and drop er in, they came stock in del sol's, and to get it into the 13's you would need a turbo + nice tune to get in the 13's.

or just drop an H22 w/ no turbo

But, in all seriousness, you can get a b16 to 13s with a lot less effort than an H22 swap. Listen to VTECPOWER for once.
