need of help with my 01 gsr

i have a 2001 gsr 2 dr.I bought the car knowing that it was not running right.Upon further investigation it appears it has a odb1 ecu.with an after market wire harness.I put the stock odb2 ecu back in the car and took it to honda to get it programed.They told me it is not corisponding with the imobilizer.Any ideas on what the problem could be or what i should do?Thank you for your time. if the car had an obd1 ECU in it, it shouldnt have even been running from what ive read there. in fact, even with the obd2 ecu in i dont think it should have been running at all without theoriginal ecu. i dont have much experience with immobilizers, but ill try and help as best as I can.

Chances are ur new ecu needs to be programmed to the immobilizer
