Hey whats up im new to this web site and new to the honda game i need some advice on my problem.

I have a 1995 honda civic D 16 vetc And its over heating because the fan will not come.

I change the Thermostat , I change the Engine Temperature Sensor , I change the cooling fan relay

I drain the old Antifreeze, Put new Antifreeze in the car bleed the system for air bubbles but the fan wont chip in.

I took a wire and ran it from the relay box to the battery and the fan turned on fine.

Can some 1 please help me out with this matter.

Ok i have another question i have a leak in the radiator
can that cause the car to over heat

well to see if the fan works at all you can try to hard wire the fan directly to the battery for a few seconds and see if it runs, your motor could be burnt out.

Check the fan switch/relay and associated wiring. Check fuses as well. If you put current to it and it turned on, than obviously the fan is operative, it just isnt turning on when it needs to.

I think you need a new fan switch.

    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
    2. Remove the fan switch and disconnect the wire connector.
    3. Test for continuity as follows:
      1. With the switch in the OFF position, there should be no continuity between any of the terminals.
      2. With the switch in the LOW position, there should be continuity between terminals 1, 2 and 3.
      3. With the switch in the MED LOW position, there should be continuity between terminals 1, 2 and 4.
      4. With the switch in the MED HIGH position, there should be continuity between terminals 1, 2 and 5.
      5. With the switch in the HIGH position, there should be continuity between terminals 1, 2 and 6.
    4. If not as specified, replace the fan switch.
