Hi folks,

First time here. My 99 Accord Coupe V6 finally gave in today. Engine shutdown while waiting for the red light. I was able to restart it but it is trying to shutdown again. Had to keep my food on the paddle consistently. The Check Engine Light was on. Finally toll it to the shop (non Honda dealer).

The guys there came back with the P0145 and P0481 after performing the scan but couldn't figure out what to do with it. I can find these two codes on the web but none describes how to fix this issue. I am lost... my first time at this. Need some recommendation.

0145 is your equivalent of an 02 sensor. Slow response means the wire is too long (doubtful if your car is stock)...umm if you have a new exhaust manifold the O2 bung might be tapped in the wrong place...causing a slow response between the 2 O2 sensors.

0481...sounds like a bad switch...got me on that one

(that code is for a malfunction in the circuit for cooling fan 2)

check autozone...your car is common enough to have repair advice
