need your opinion about a cam gear

so my old man was trying to help and ended up breaking some of the teeth off of one half of the cam gear. (by half i mean since the gear has the plate in the middle that essentially cuts the gear across the plane creating two equal halves. he broke off a few teeth on the front side.) Do you think that would be okay to keep using that gear or do you think it'd be necessary to get a new one?

uhhhh sounds like you need another gear. and you cant use a gear missing teeth , your talking of breaking the motor completely using a fucked cam gear. OEM replacement cost 10-20 bux . get another one and save yourself the headache for later on.
