Never Mind The D16a1 <NOS Built B16a Lsd Trans

O Hell Yeah Yes Yes Yes , I Got This Wrecked 90 Ef Hb With A Built B16, 27k Sleeved Block , Eagle Rods , Type R Pistons , Gsr Cams , Red Lines At 9000 , 100 Hp Shot Of Nos, L S D Trans Regeared , 27k On It Too. Yes Yes Yes! Can Someone Tell Me How Much This Should Of Cost Me? Thanks. And What Would Be Better, A Super Charger Or Turbo? Not Into Nos That Much. Even Though This Motor Can Take It. I was told the easy way to swap it from the wrecked 90 ef, to my $260 89 ef (that was running 12's with a supercharger and a 1.6 non v-tec! I got it without the supercharge and intake and a rod through front of block) was to connect the engine harness to the the harness that is in the 89 EF HB and run the v-tec wire's to the ecu plug it in and go run some 12's lol. Would that be the easy way to do it? Thanks

Im gonna translate so i can respond to this post a little better:

    ******************************

So I picked up this wrecked 1990 Civic HB with a built B16 that only has 27k miles on it. The thing is sporting new iron sleeves, Eagle Rods, Type R Pistons (ctr or itr?), Gsr Cams, and redlines at 9000 RPMS. It also has a 100 shot of nitrous, and an LSD Transmission that has been regeared.

Here's the question, what would be better, a supercharger or turbo? I am not into nitrous, so I'm probably gonna pull that off the engine, even though the motor can take it (which in reality, i doubt it can...but hey, who am i to judge).

I was told the easy way to swap it from the wrecked 1990 EF, to my 1989 EF (which was pretty quick before I blew a rod through the block) was to (I lost where you were going with this, so im gonna type what you need to do) remove the D16 from my 89 EF and then attach the harness for that engine to the B16. After that harness is attached, I'll just run the VTEC wires to the new ECU (Hopefully a tuned P30 or a close cousin) and drop the new engine in.

    ******************************

Okay, now that I have something easier to read, I'm gonna tell you to leave that engine NA. If it has ITR pistons in it, sure you can boost it and have a lot of fun, but i seriously doubt it has ITR pistons considering the other things you listed. I'm going to assume you meant it had CTR pistons, and if that is the case, a 12:1 compression ratio is not something that I'd call boost friendly. Be happy with what your getting out of that car and run low-mid 13s (12s might happen if you squeeze).

Ok but what should this have cost me?

i wouldnt reasonably pay more than 3-4k for that setup. even then, its still pretty steep.

I don't have the injector harness for the 89, so do I have to use the 89 harness or can I just use the harness that is on the 90? What would the compression ratio be if it did have ITR pistons? Thanks

When you say injector harness, are you talking about the engine harness, or just the wires that go to the injectors?

Yeah that 's what I should have said.

But will the 90 engine harness work on the 89 civic?

If your vtec hits 'hard', thats a bad thing.
vtec is NOT suppose to feel like pushing a nitrous button...
