Against the good advice of some members on here, I went ahead and sold my 2000 SV650, I ended up selling it for $1900 after having purchased it for $1200.

I ended up getting a 2003 Yamaha R6 for $2300.

Lots of aftermarket stuff already done to it for track days. Scotts Steering damper, GYTR full exhaust with carbon fiber slip on. Sato Rearsets, clip ons, Motion pro throttle, suspension was set up for someone with similar weight as me, Power Commander III, BMC Air filter.

Took it to get retuned yesterday, it had been tuned for 4k feet. It was running lean and only putting out 100hp, after the retune it is running much safer and is at 108hp now. Sounds great, can't wait for the season to start.

2003 R6 isnt bad for a stepping stone. It's quick but nothing like the new R6s.

Ride it for a few thousand and upgrade again. =)

I didn't know they had motorcycles in the mines of moria?

sorry. had to. Congrats on the bike.
