It's just always in the right gear. Always seems to be in the sweet spot of the power band. The Charger had the same engine but a 5 speed auto and there was always a "wait for it" feel if it was down shifting on the freeway to pass. The 8 speed is just smooth and quick shifting.
How you liking the car so far? What kind of MPG's you getting out of curiosity? Why on earth do the not offer the AWD version in the V8?
factory wire tuck ftw. lol. Looks good man. Nice color choice and have to agree with everyone on here. The wheels are sick too!
They only had like a 5% take rate on the V8/AWD combo in the past. Wouldn't have wanted it regardless honestly. Anyways, I love it so far. Getting about 21 mpg avg so far but I've taken a couple of road trips. I expect it to be 19ish overall when everything is all said and done.
Can't believe it's been 3 years already. 1 set of tires and 43500 worry free miles later and it's time to say goodbye. Taking the k&n intake and the weathertec floormats out but leaving the window tint for the next owner. Still get compliments on this car on a regular basis. Gonna be sad to see it go but I just don't love it QUITE enough to buy it for $24000. Washed it today and it still looks pretty nice when it's shined up. A few nicks, scratches, and dings but nothing I couldn't live with. And the color is now discontinued.
Haha nah. We want a toy eventually but I need a bigger garage and (at least) one less kid in the house first. Garage is in the planning stages and the kid with the Masters is talking about house shopping. So we'll see what happens. Whatever it is will be LS powered and have 3 pedals.
Missed this thread the first time around. I absolutely love the 300S. Had one as a rental for a week about a year ago (AWD too). Couldn't stop driving it. Way better than the Charger, like you said. Only downside would be getting truck gas mileage without a truck, haha.
