Well me and Brian (TPP) were supposed to go to Indy for the first IEOA car meet, Max never gave us directions that I could find, so we went car shopping. This is where I shine.

I looked at a Kia Sephia GSX or something like that, they said nope so we went to Nissan where they had a Black 2004 Sentra SER Spec V. If you haven't guessed it already, I bought it.

You're probably wondering whta I'm gonna do with my Escort.

I'm selling it to Brian. I will soon post my springs, turbo, engine and all pieces and parts on ebay and on here. I'm getting out of the Escort completely. I don't want to, but I have a nice car now. I don't need it. Sorry guys.

Spec V page

I just created this page to show 5 pics of my car.

Wish me luck guys, I make no payments for 3 months in which I can save up. with the $300 dollar down payment I made today my payments will be $399 a month but I can afford it easily.

I need to switch my insurance monday too.

Looks sweet man, bet it flies compared to your escort.

But, only a $300 down payment?

LOL c'mon man, that's just sad.

I coulda done 400 but then i wouldn't have been eating lunch this week. Keep in mind that I wasn't really LOOKING for a new car...it just happened that they had it in and approved me for it. If I had done 400 it would have dropped my payments about 2 dollars a month.

Besides that I don't have a payment until January. :p

And yes B, Nissan > Ford.

This thing pulls from 2000 rpm and up unlike my Escort which pulled from 3500 up. Of course I did lose about 1000 rpms to redline...oh well :D

Kia Spectra GSX

 Are you serious??? You were really thinking about buying a Kia? I tried to look up specs on Edmunds.com.
124hp
108 ft. lbs.
You'd have been better off buying an EX civic.
I thought the Gsx would be AWD or something. It's not...

Anything would have been an upgrade over my Escort, and it was a 13k car, giving me 2500 dollars back to put towards it.

They didn't approve me for it so we went over to Nissan where they pulled some magic out of their ass and bam, I have an 18,000 dollar car... :spin:

124 hp and 108 lb ft torque... I would have lost 3 hp and 6 lb ft tq...instead I gained 48 hp, 66 lb ft, .7 liters of displacement, CVTC, and an extra gear on the shifter

Cool purchase. My buddy's got a 2003 Black Spec V that he'll be tooling around again in soon. Moron got in a BAD accident in it. Rearended a 350Z. Oops.

Anyway, Congratulations.

Damn, for $18k, you could've gotten into a slightly-used WRX.

<--- resident WRX whore

I know, and I want a WRX. but............i didn't think i was gonna get this till I was signing the paper work. If you ever wanna hit me up on AIM and talk about WRXs, I'll talk your ear off about them, even after never driving one (so far). I loved them when they came out in March of 2001, and I loved them when they finally hit the dealer, I loved them when they redesigned it, and I loved them when the STi was announced and hit the dealers in the US. In short...I love the WRX and I will always love the WRX. If I could hump any one car all day, it would be a WRX.

:D :D :D

In two or three years I can trade in my V for an 02-03 5 sp WRX in WR Blue Pearl and do a FMIC mod along with an EJ25 transplant. But for now My plans include getting some nicer rims, lowering it, tint all the way around, intake and exhaust and maybe an even tighter shifter linkage.

Over everything else my two reasons for getting the car are:

Because I got approved for it without a cosigner, and now I have a car worth something.

Edit: my AIM name is currently Red92EGT...I'll be changing it to reflect my new car soon. ;)

 I like very much! Mostly because of the Originality of the car, and it puts out goodnumbers for being a sedan and stuff.

<triumphthecomicdog>looks like i should take a big poop on it</triumphthecomicdog> j/k looks nice

Damn, I definitely think we need to catch up on AIM sometime. :D

I'm heading to my local dealer this week to talk to them about what mods I can do and still keep my warranty. Apparently, the guys at a dealer 30 minutes away from me are MUCH cooler about that than the guys close to me.

A buddy of mine has a WRX as well, and he did the uppipe, downpipe and exhaust when he first got it (remove all THREE of the catalyic converters), and brought it in for some unrelated work. The guys did the work under warranty, PLUS fixed some exhaust leaks he had as a result of the exhaust mods. Badass.

nice pickup, but did they fix the gearing issues on the 04? In the older ones, you would be at the end of first gear in the blink of an eye, maxing out and bouncing off the rev limiter at a blistering 20 miles an hour.......

very nice looking car. i love the spec v's. congrats
