what you're seeing is the template. it's almost like its not parsing for you

I'm using the old theme, since it's not broken inside the PM box navigation.

damnit, i scrwed around with the old theme the other day....

im ready to re-install the board with a new version that came out. we are still on the RC (release candidate) not the final, and the final has since come out.

i'll fix it.... eventually.

Don't forget the ENTIRE USERBASE.

ROFL.

that only happened when i switched boards from phpbb to this one...
there wasn't a converter out back then

THAT won't happen.
the posts, although easy to back up, a BITCH to re-up to the database.
our DB of JUST POST TEXT is about 35MB. 35MB text file folks.
there's only 21,000 lines for the member file :) i can do that in about a half hour
lmao

php times out after 30 sec's of exe time... so basically, i have to sit there for 17-232 hours, chopping the 32 meg, 2000000 line file into about 1000 line segments, and up one at a time.
thats what happened last time... and i missed shit in the middle....

there's gotta be an easier way.... but i don't know of one.

Any way to hack the value on the Timeout counter? Change it to 2400 or something so there's no worries?

That's a pretty chitty system, if that's the ONLY way it works.

its part of php. that way, the server doesn't get overloaded with 1 task for more than 30 seconds.

it would work FINE if i could upload a 30MB file in 30 secs, but unfortunately, i don't have access to an OC-12
lol

Can you run the upload outside of the php system? Just upload the files via ftp and link them once they're on the server?

not that i know of...
the DB is NOT part of the ftp directory... there is no where to FTP into it.. its either DOS box telnet style system command, or web-interfact written in php to interact with the DB
the upload has a browse button, crashes my computer for indexing a 30+mb file, and then tries to post the form data...
it doesn't happen
