Got a 1997 Accord 5speed with a F22B2 60k miles on the engine 140k on the body. Gonna sell my CRX now for 350 bucks, and get some stuff for my Accord.

Right now it needs brake pads and that's it.

I don't like the two piece tail lights so I might trade trunk lids and tail lights with someone with the same color car.

Also, I'm keeping the wheels from my rex, the i/h/e, and a few other things since the dude buying it said he dont care because he's gonna k swap it anyways and has the motor ready to install.

So I'm gonna have the rims from the rex on my accord soon, then I probably won't do much to it for a while. It's a pretty solid car for its age...

Last attached pic is something I saw at golden corral a few days ago :D

pretty sure the accord is 114.3, not 100, so the wheels from your crx probably won't fit.

Unless they're universal pattern.

Edit: lose the tail lights, fix the mirror get some rims and some lips.

Also cool mullet mobile.

i dunno if mines a vtec or not though, or even if its a usdm or jdm motor. On some jdm engine importer's websites they have it listed as "JDM F22B2" so im confused.

As far as vtec, im not sure if it was a lx or ex now... anyone how can you tell? The engine was replaced and nothing looks out of place in the bay, so im not sure yet.

no power moonroof = LX

check the block stamp on the front under the head, that will tell you what motor it is. but im thinking non-vtec.

Sorry. I always forget they made a nonvtec F22b, I always assume they're all vtec.

I just read some more about 1996 Accords, and I found that it might be a 25th Anniversary Edition. I'm still trying to figure it out though.

Why do you need a similar color accord to switch out tail lights with? You've stated it twice and I checked out the picture but don't see any color on the tail lights that would say they were for a specific color.

25th anniversary with no moon roof? Doesn't sound right. Also doesn't sound right because the 93 had a 10th anniversary package, which was the same package as the se with a few dealer options.

i was talking about trading the entire trunk lid with someone who has a 94/95 which had a one piece tail light. i would prefer to not have to paint the trunk and I HATE altezza style ricer lights. stock is way better imho

"In order to increase the Accord's competitiveness against its rivals in different international markets, Honda CEO Nobuhiko Kawamoto decided on one basic platform for the sixth-generation Accord, but with different bodies and proportions for local markets. In the U.S. the 1996 model lineup included the 25th Anniversary Edition, a model positioned between the DX and LX." -wikipedia

doesn't say anywhere whether a sunroof was standard or optional on the 25th anniversary model. only reason im not 100% sure is because someone took the rear badges off or they got stolen at some point before i got the car

Good luck with that. The person you trade with is going to be left with a trunk that has lights but no bulbs or wiring for them. I'd check a junk yard instead, or just grab some stock tails...

The most obvious answer is that it's an LX...

EDIT: Here's your answer: http://www.intellichoice.com/1-12-1...ccord-25th-anniversary-edition-4dr-sedan.html

The V-6 models and 25th anniversary models are automatic only.

Ok cool, I couldnt figure it out.
BTW I also read that there were LX EX and DX versions of the 96 25th model... That's another thing that made it confusing.
