i own a 96 civic dx hatch here in italy and i am looking to do an engine swap. i went to the hunk yard recently and found a d16v1 engine from an ep2. will this be a suitable swap or if not what is needed to make it work?

    You mean D16w1

    D16W1
    • non-VTEC
    • Found in:
      • 2000–2006 Honda HRV
        • Displacement:1,590 cc (97 cu in)
        • Bore and Stroke : 75 × 90 mm (3.0 × 3.5 in)
        • Power : 103 hp (77 kW)
        • Valvetrain : SOHC
Not a common engine. Post some pix.

Us Gringos never heard of -HRV :D

not worth it, get something worth swapping, like a b18. those swaps are pretty cheap and don't cost to much, d16y8 motors work pretty good to and those are dirt cheap. good luck
