hey whats going on?

i am from boise idaho any one from there on this forum?

i have a 92 honda civic, i am just learning imports so all the help i can get that would be great.

and i just got a d16a1, got told it wont work in my civic and so i am bummed

how is it a down grade..
a guy told me it came from a teg and will only fit in that and a crx
 
well who ever is telling you this info take no more from him because he dont know much, but it can work its just not worth it
 
the motor has new jp piston with eagle cams... and 250cc injectors

why will it be a down grade?
 
just start reading. and catch up on some thing you will be surprised at how much info is already here
 
welcome to the site... definitely do some reading / research... it will save you a shit ton of money and a lot of frustration down the road :wave:
 
the big issue here is OBD
your car is OBD-1 that engine is OBD-0

first of all its illegal to go backwards with OBD
second if all its a bitch to go from 1 to 0 as the injectors and a bunch of other shit work differently
third its kinda pointless you could get a D16Z6 and have more power and it drops right in... all 92 civics are prewired for VTEC regardless of whether or not they are so equipped... so literally all you would need to do is drop the engine in hook up the P28 ECU and go (you would benefit from the matching transmission though)
