I'm about to help my friend do an automatic to manual conversion. I was wondering if there was a different transmission we could use, with the stock engine, that has more aggressive gearing than just a "manual" opposite.

its a 1993 Nissan 240SX SE Convertible.

a little help?

An opposite?

Anyways, you can use almost any transmission, even non-Nissan, with some fab-work and custom clutch. With that said, you can probably use a SR20 transmission or even RB-transmissions with just a bell-housing swap

I know that you can use a KA tranny on and SR by swapping bell housings. Thats all I really know about the Nissans. :dunno:

hmmm the bell housing is just the metal case around it?? there isnt one that just bolts up??

(IE. i use a d16a6 transmission on my d16z6 motor)
