no air, heat

hey. my ac's been gone but now no air blows on any of the four settings. off works very well, but that is about it. what do i need to do to fix this problem. thanks.

Test your blower motor. It's the fan that pushes the air around your car. They're kind of expensive, $100 plus a core charge, rebuilt. In my opinion, the rebuilt ones are crappy. I'd rather have a good used one than rebuilt.

It's the same way in my car Alan. The motor probably didn't give out though. There are resistors for each blow setting. One let's a little power through to the motor, the next let's more. and so on. And eventually when one resistor burns out from old age or whatever the other resistors are more succeptable to higher amounts of voltage and therefore get wasted easier. Then the last one gives out and boom there goes your fan motor. Well I guess that's the way it works. Corroect me peeps.
