No sound with new radio

What about a car that was stolen, recovered, and then the stock radio (stolen) was replaced with a Pioneer? The car starts, runs, has power to the radio bc it lights up and goes through all the functions, but not even static comes through the speakers.

check and see if the car has a factory amplifier, I had issues with that in my old bronco, pull the radio out, and unplug the harness from the factory plug, and plug the speaker wires into a speaker right there at the back of the radio and see if it plays, if so run new wire to your doors and panels, etc, its kinda a pain to do it clean, but its alot better for stereo options when you expand your stereo
