No Spark Condition

    ok so my vss caught fire a few days ago well now my car doesnt start....... i fixed the vss so that is not any issue but it cranks over but does not spark..... i have a strong suspicion that it is my coil but i dont know how to take it apart to test it any help would be great

    You take the distributor cap off and you'll see two screws with wires attached. Take a voltmeter and touch the red on (+) and black on (-) and you will get a reading, match it up to your Helm's manual, or in my case my Haynes manual. Which engine are you using?, maybe I can help.

    Ok, I have the d16a6 for 88-91 so I'm not sure, but I can google it and get back to you. Talk to you in a bit.

    So your old one was defective?, also what's a 'walla'?.

    yeah it works and well when i took my DMM to my old coil when i was testing it, i had 426 ohms on the secondary side so yeah it was def my coil
