I was driving on the highway yesterday when my tach dropped to around zero and the engine was not making any power. After it stalled I pulled over and first thought the engine wasn't getting fuel. After further inspection I realized there was no spark.

I have a msd sci box, blaster ss coil, and cap. I disconnected the coil wire from the cap while my girlfriend cranked the car and there was no "ark." I checked all the major grounds and the wiring of the msd box and coil. Everything looks ok. Is it possible the ignition box or cap is bad? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
