i knew i never heard of maf for a reason....yes the map sensor is fine....and the battery connection is the same as when it started fine...
 
the ECU should give you a code the moment it's powered on. Pull the hazard fuse for 20 seconds to clear it. I don't believe they store codes. At least the OBD0 doesn't.
