Hiya Guys and girls, I'm the proud owner of an 89 Lude SI 5sd. DHOC stock B20a5 ithink
As I cruised on the highway one late night WITHOUT ANY WARNING the engine started to lag and sputter then quit, recycled the ignition a few times but nothing and pulled over. First off, was damn sure it was going to be the fuel pump but checked and it's running strong, But checked for sparks next and got NO SPARKS. Checked the coil, has all proper resistances and power. Cap and rotar are brand new maybe 4 months old. Anyone have any info on what else I can do or check, would greatly be appreciated thanks.
Also there is a little black CPU chip mounted next to the COIL with one wire running over toward the distrib, it is about big as a quarter. Can anyone identify it or what is dose? Please help thanks again.
