The block has ctr pistons, hardened gsr rods, gsr crank, gsr oil pump, ls water pump. The head has been ported and polished. supertech valves and 4 angle valve job. and it has a skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body. My question is what cams should I use? Will it work with that high of compression with stock ls cams? any other ideas you might have let me know. I want to make this car go fast

The stock cams will work ok but ITR or CTR cams would be better now for the ls water pump it will not work on the B18c it only has 19 teeth you need 22 teeth so use the gsr or itr water pump if you want to make more power thet the stock ecu will give you you will have i dyno tuned you will need a chipped ecu here is a link to some ITR cams for sale Integra Type R Camshafts Cams B18C5 ITR CTR - eBay (item 200533158429 end time Oct-25-10 20:41:17 PDT)

The stock cams really are not the great on the P75 head. For a DD street car I would get Crower stage 2 cams. The car will still idle nicely but have good top end power. If you want to make more power that go with stage 3-5, stage 5 is wild and idles at around 1500. The beefed up GSR block will handle any high rpms you give it. Stage 2 cams with your CTR pistons should get around 170-180whp if the head work was done well. Be sure to plug the oil passage on the block deck that supplies oil to the head for Vtec. If you dont you will have a large oil leak.

Crower 404s? Also, Bisimoto does regrinds which may be something to look into.

I don't think the oil hole(if it's there) needs to be plugged either.

What are the advantages? Or is this just something to piece together because parts are lying around?

Well if you can get the head to flow as well; you have a rocker for each valve and cam lobe. Pretty much like a VTEC Killer setup, without the VTEC to begin with. With VTEC, one lobe and rocker deals with the stress from two valvesprings. This means less stress/wear on the rocker pad. Also, this also means lighter valvetrain(theoretically rev higher!)

I am not sure how the LS head flows at all(never seen charts for them either stock or ported), though, from driving both setups I can say the LS has potential for a great street motor/road racing motor(though I haven't driven one that spins as high as a VTEC motor).

JG Engine Dynamics makes a great ported LS head. And I guess the GSR bottom end will rev higher.....interesting.

On the head mating surface. You need to plug the passage in a Vtec head when a LS Vtec. You will plug the block in the same place, using a LS Vtec kit. You will need the dowel pins flipped upside down. Use a B18b head gasket.

LS Vtec kit? I don't want to Vtec it. I'm wanna put a LS cylinder head onto a C1 block (vtec block).

^ I know but you are doing a reverse LS Vtec so you still need the LS Vtec dowel pins. The B18c block and LS head have different sized dowel pins so you use the LS Vtec ones and turn them up side down. Yeah 404s will be great and will still idle well if tuned right.
