not red lining normally

why isn't my car redlining like it should?

ran a stock p28, i can only go 6,700 rpm... supposedly it should redline at 7,200 or 7,400.
now i test ran a chipped p28 maxing at 8k rpm, it only max at 7,500.. why is that?

help me solve this please.

no. my tach works. i used three tach.. all the same.. 2 diff cluster and an autometer monster tach.

Fix the code and see if it still happens. If you know there is a problem but don't stop to fix it, it will continue to be a problem.
