brian hit the ticket right there. you cant race wallets. thats all it is. if you wanna do a sport that the big spender doesnt win... go play basketball or football, thats all skill and heart. car racing isnt!

racing CAN be a budget-friendly thing.

it's called autocross.

your 1000 civic can hang with the best of them if you put a couple G's into it.

fast drivers are so much more fun than fast cars :)

and, then, theres the $2006 challenge... where 2006 dollars is all you have to spend... and its everythign from look to drag to road course and everything in between.

and then there's the $250 rally from nyc to new orleans. object: take the shittiest car you can find and hope to make it 3 days worth of driving :p
and along the way, fix it to make it there.

yup, youre right. I cant pay. I can pay for an NA build...thats it. So im gonna go straight up NA goal is to make 250 wheel HP.

i know its ambicious, but i think a 2.4L 11.5:1 H22 can pull it off with some serious cams and compression.

BELIEVE ME...i know  The fun part of engine building just went away. But hopefully there will be some exciting, high revvin fun.
